This summer I am working for a creative production house in Indianapolis called Innovative. My primary job will be producing videos for the 2012 Super Bowl that promote what the NFL is doing to help the city of Indianapolis and the progress that is being made all across the city.

Today marks my last Monday at Innovative Edit in Indianapolis. It has been an amazing experience and I have been working on some really cool opportunities. Although I am an intern technically, I really have not been doing that many “intern-like” tasks. For the most part I have been editing videos for the Super Bowl, doing some engineering work with our IT guy, and the occasional installation of toilets.
I was given the job of producing, shooting, and editing 20 short videos for the Super Bowl that will eventually reside on their website and be played around the Indianapolis area. They are for an initiative that the NFL brings in called First and Green, which is basically just a bunch of easy ways to go green and what the Super Bowl is doing to “green” up Indianapolis. I did all of the pre-production work on the videos with the script, budget, call sheet, and location scouting. I did all of the actual production with two full day shoots and two half day shoots. I have been editing the video ever since and they are looking really great. You will eventually be able to find the videos on the following website. http://www.1standgreen.com/.
Hopefully, once my internship is over I will still be able to do some work for Innovative covering press conferences or doing any other types of shooting.

The first couple of days working this summer have been quite exciting! I have been to presidential suites of some of the nicest hotels in Indianapolis. On the roof top of the Westin. On the court at Conseco Fieldhouse where the Indianapolis Pacers play.
The facilities at Innovative are state-of-the-art with 4 really nice edit bays all running Final Cut. There are graphic designers, program developers, web developers, editors, account managers and more…
